A Welcomed Visitor

We had a middle of the night visitor.

Someone Bryant has been waiting a long time for...

the Tooth Fairy!

Everyone Bryant knows has lost a tooth. He's been waiting and waiting to lose one. He's wanted the tooth fairy to come for sooooooo long. And finally he had a loose tooth.
He woke up one morning and found that his tooth was loose...

He wiggled the tooth all day long. Finally it got loose enough that he just pulled it out.

WOW... what a brave boy.

This was a huge event for him.

He called everyone we know to tell them he lost a tooth.

Some people, like grandpa, told Bryant he knew the tooth fairy and would put in a good word for him!

Then he sat down to write the ever so important letter to the tooth fairy.

He spent at least an hour writing his letter. He was very intent on making it perfect.

He was very pleased with his letter to the tooth fairy.

What a huge day for my little man.

Here's a copy of the letter he wrote.

As you can tell he sounded out the words all by himself.

Indeed the tooth fairy visited that night.

She brought him $11.00!

Why $11.00 you ask... well the tooth fairy didn't look very closely at what she was giving him. It was a surprise for everyone!

Congratulations Bryant on losing your first tooth. You're growing up so fast!

Guess it's a good thing the tooth fairy didn't accidentally slip a $100 under the pillow, eh?? Wow, can you even imagine???

Oh, what a cute story! When Riley lost her first tooth, she actually lost two! Her two front teeth had to be pulled because her adult teeth were nearly fully erupted behind the so the dentist just pulled both of them (the same thing is happening to the teeth on either side again). Anyways, I digress, because I felt so bad (although she didn't even cry) I gave her a Hello Kitty makeup set - it was actually a Christmas present I had forgotten about but found. So, needless to say, the tooth fairy set the bar high the first time and my good intentions have back fired. She has since lost two more teeth and two more are loose - guess who wants a present every time she loses a tooth now. :( Ah, well, the money the tooth fairy leaves is getting gradually smaller and she is ok with it (not that it matters, the tooth fairy ain't buyin presents every time she loses a tooth).

Anyways, Tell him I said congratulations! That is such a big milestone - he is quickly on his way to full fledge big boy hood!
