Dog & Beth... The Bounty Hunters

As everyone knows, I love to dress up... it's a sickness! Dressing Up/Costumes are the main reason I love Halloween. This year I drug Zac into my sickness and made him dress up to.

But, also knowing us... we can't dress up in "normal" costumes. Nope, we went as Dog and Beth Chapman impersonators. Honestly, you've seen Dog the Bounty Hunter on the A&E channel haven't you? In case you haven't, here is a short intro: (removed due to crazy formatting- sorry)

So now that you know who they are... here are Zac and I:

Another view... I think the "Dog" was a little frisky in this picture!

A close-up of my Dog

Suzi and Austin... the Costume Party Hostess and Host... a.k.a. Fred and Wilma Flintstone

Cassy and Garrett... the naughty nurse and her doctor (notice how she's looking all innocent in this picture.)

Here she is when she doesn't think the camera's watching... being naughty (as usual) *just kidding Cassy*
Here I am... just absolutely shocked at Cassy's outlandish behavior. Why I would NEVER encourage my friends to do anything like that....
And Suzi's not about to be left out. She's giving the camera a little of her own kind of lovin'...
Some of the girls at the party. The naughty nurse, Beth Chapman, Wilma Flintstone, the washed up Prom Queen, a Samual Adams Girl and a Naughty School Girl.
There's a lot of pictures in between the one above and the one below that I'm skipping.

But, this one below is priceless. This is what happens when one Naughty Nurse pulls up the dress of Wilma Flinstone and shows her prehistoric underwear to all the party guests! A take down. It was like WWE in all it's glory!
Hope you enjoyed all these lovely pictures. If you love Dog the Bounty Hunter and our costumes show us some love in your comments!!!

And the winner is...

BRYANT ... twice!
Saturday Zac and I took Bryant to a big Halloween Party at our local Recreation Center (it's like the YMCA... which we don't have here). We weren't exactly sure what was going on since we've never been before... but it sounded like a good family activity.

First up was a costume contest. I guess it was a good thing that Bryant wore his costume! Bryant and 125 other children pranced their way down a run-way while the announcer said their name, age and costume title.

There were lots of kids and lots of costumes. Some store bought and some homemade.
But my little guy marched his way down the run-way in his US Army costume and stole the contest. He WON! He got several gift certificates to local places and had his picture taken.
Here he is in the backyard with his GI Joe Army tank... he wanted me to take his picture to see if I could see him. He was pretty disappointed that his camouflage didn't hide him.

And here I am... the proud mama... with my main man. (Notice how much of his makeup is worn off by now. He said it was really itchy).
After the costume contest was the Great Pumpkin Hunt. All 125 kids converged on the grassy park around the Rec Center and hunted small pumpkins. It was basically like an Easter Egg hunt but with pumpkins.

At the end of the pumpkin hunt, I examined Bryant's pumpkins. He had about 20. Some pumpkins had candy or small toys taped to them.

But this one pumpkin... had...

Yep, that's right. Bryant won the grand prize... a new bike!!! Now, do we really need another bike... no... but don't tell that to Bryant. He couldn't have been any more excited. Zac thought we should give the bike to someone who really needed it (how do we know that??). But in the end we decided to let Bryant keep it. When he has friends over we'll have an extra bike.

Look at this boy. He looks like he swallowed a canary. He is just so darn proud of himself. First he won the costume contest and then the pumpkin hunt.

Heck... we should have had him buy us a lottery ticket on the way home. I might be in the Bahama's right now if he had....

And what does any boy do when he gets home (usually they're at least teenagers but in this case he's my 5 year old)? Well, he goes to get his girlfriend, Krystel, so he can show off his costume and bike.

Of course I had to take a picture of them lounging next to each other. Krystel has her witch costume on and is giving me "the look." I interrupted their little "get together."

Favorite Foto Friday

"Stop... or I'll keep blowing this whistle until I drive you crazy" -Bryant

In honor of halloween next week, I'm offering up these pictures of Bryant in his halloweeen costume when he was 3 years old. As you can probably tell, he thought he was a real stud.

Religious or not... this is great.

GodTube.com is the fastest-growing Web property in the U.S. in the month of August. It's like U-Tube but with a positive message. It had over 1.7 million visitors last month. I think it's an up and coming phenomenon.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love the song Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot. In fact it's the song that I usually karaoke when I go out.

So when I found this video, entitled Baby Got Book, I was ecstatic. THIS IS THE GREATEST. Yes, it's a parody of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Baby Got Back.

If Pam was a horse they'd have shot her by now!

This weekend I attended a surprise 40th birthday party for my good friend Pam. Can you even believe this hot mama is 40?

Her super sweet husband got all her family, friends and co-workers together to honor his 1967 born wife.

The party theme: A Kegger! Yep, just like when Pam was in high school and/or college. Complete with a keg, chips, pretzels, loud music, etc!

Here's Pam when she was in High School. Gotta love those socks :)

Surprise! I think Pam was overwhelmed by all her friends & family.

Pam and her husband, Bill. Cute couple aren't they?

Here's the keg... in the garage (where all the husbands were gathered around)

Dawn decided to lay down on the garage floor and try to guzzle beer straight from the tap.... just like she did in college. Needless to say, it didn't go so well.

Here's my sister and I at the party. Look how squinty my eyes are compared to my sisters. Mom, are you sure Suzi didn't come from the milk man?

Here we are with our friend Amanda.

Me and the Birthday Girl. Horrible picture of me... but super cute of Pam.

Me with the Keg girls ;)

Honestly, I wasn't drinking. I don't drink... thank goodness. Can you imagine how out of control I would be if I drank? Well, we decided we didn't want the party to get old and stale, so we took the candles off Pam's cake and placed them on various parts of our body. Some of the pictures I won't post :)

Pam got some great birthday presents... including a karaoke machine complete with 100 hits from the 80's. Boy did we ever have fun with that. Do you remember WHAM?

And she got this photo quilt from her coolest friend... umm... that would be me! This is not a very good picture of the quilt but I promise it was super cool. It had pictures of Pam from the last 40 years. Then we had people at the party write messages on each quilt square. What a great memory of a super 40th birthday party.

I hope my family and friends plan a fabulous 40th birthday party for me. Oh, that's right... I still have 6 years left. Well, it's never too early to start planning.

My guys are gone :(

Zac and Bryant flew out this morning to Portland, Oregon. They're going for a 4 day father/son bonding trip. They have lots of plans... including 2 hockey games, fishing on the coast with my dad and shopping at Powells bookstore (the largest indpendent bookstore in the world).

Additionally, tonight Zac and Bryant are going with my parents & Debbie and Bill to Hannah's high school football game. Hannah is a varsity cheerleader this year and is cheering at tonight's game. Bryant is so excited to see his "sister" cheering. He idolizes her so much. Not to mention he's in love with her (he doesn't understand you can't marry your sister yet!). We are so lucky that Deb and Bill allow us to be a part of their lives. Honestly, I don't know if you could have an open adoption that is much better than this!

So, in honor of his visit to Hannah, he drew and then painted her the following picture on a canvas. I think it is sooooo cute. He very delicately packed it in his suitcase and is very excited to present it to her. I thought I would share it with all of you...Isn't Bryant's handwriting getting good? We've been practicing. He loves to writes.

FFF... Favorite Foto Friday

I'm really loving this new favorite foto friday thing. I've been having a great time and going through my archives upon archives of pictures.

Today's picture is of my sister Suzi. I laughed hysterically when I came across this picture last night. I don't remember EVER seeing it before. I'm sure my sister has never seen it either... or she would have destroyed it.From my best guess, the picture is about 4 years old.... which would have made her 20 years old. She looks like she's about 13 in the picture though! And who would have ever known that my salt and pepper shakers offered her so much entertainment...

Anyway, I love you Suzi. You're my best friend and you always make me laugh.

The Larry Craig Sex Scandal

I sooo wanted to put this claymation video parody of Senator Larry Craig on my blog... but there is no way to embed it. So you're just going to have to go here to see it. Anyone who's heard of Larry Craig and his bathroom sex scandal will laugh.

Interestingly enough, I have met Larry Craig several times. Part of our funding at work comes from money that Larry Craig has secured for us. I've always felt he was a little "off". But since he basically helps pay my salary I'm not going to say too much :)

Also, on my recent trip to Utah, I stopped in the bathroom in the Boise Airport. I was tapping my foot to the music while I was in the stall. I starting laughing and said out loud, "I guess I shouldn't be tapping my foot in a bathroom. Don't call me Larry Craig." OMG. You would have thought I'd slapped a bunch of people. While I was washing my hands all these old ladies gave me dirty looks. I've never felt so unwanted. I'd venture to say they must be Larry Craig supporters!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this hilarious parody that will have your toes tapping !
