Boredom + Garage Sale = Immaturity

This weekend we had a 3 family garage sale with our neighbors. Although we did quite well (in terms of getting rid of crap... and also making some money) there was some serious boredom going on by lunch time.

So, immaturity set in and we decided to "try on" things at the garage sale. One of everybody's favorites was the brain bike helmet. Almost all of us wore it for some period of time. I swear we sold more stuff because people were having fun at our garage sale laughing at us:) And yes... the helmet sold for a whopping $ .50!

Below you'll find a collage of all our BRAINIAC photo's.

Cassy was quite fond of several things. She LOVED the Santa Claus headband. And she relished the book entitled Throwing Tantrums (which we don't need anymore because Bryant is so perfectly behaved. Yeah right...). And then, if you look really close (I'll post a close up too) you can see that Cassy tried on every pin we had for sale. She had about 25 pinned to the neckline of her shirt. We tried to sell them directly off her shirt but most women weren't interested in looking that closely at her chest. The men were though :)

The kids weren't bored though. They had a great time playing with all the stuff for sale.

Here they are playing baby. This is Bryant's old baby carrier... and they have actually buckled him in! Krystel and Shy were thrilled to play baby with him... giving him bottles, wrapping him up in blankets, spanking him, etc... until I told them they should check his "diaper" to see if he was poopy. Then they said, "Lets play something else!"

Next they decided to have a camp out in the front yard with the sleeping bags. See all the Styrofoam peanuts in the grass? Well, they snuck those out of a box and pretended they were marshmallows. Then they took the bark from our landscaping and piled it up in the grass like a fire pit. They broke off branches from our trees and put the styrofoam peanuts on them. They "roasted" the marshmallows from their sleeping bags. I'm telling you... these kids have great imaginations!
And here's Bryant... AKA Mr. Attitude... at the end of the day. When I told him it was time to go home he was really annoyed. Gee, can you tell?
