Hob Nobbing with the Famous

My mom, sister and I recently rubbed elbows with a famous man. His name is Darius and he's the makeup artist for the stars. He is the responsible for the make-up of Jessica Simpson, Pink, Paris Hilton and many more. He had some great stories to tell us about their total DIVA like behaviors. He told us about one particular star (who had been on an MTV reality show) who was a complete bitch. When she showed up to get her make-up done she showed up 5 hours late. She talked on the phone and ate the whole time he was trying to do her make-up. He got mad and decided he had lots of other celebrity clients who "gave a damn" so he didn't care if he pissed her off. Since she wasn't paying attention, he glued a strand of her fake eyelashes to a mole on her face. She was royally pissed when she went to the photo shoot and everyone laughed at her.

Anyway, Mom was able to weasel us makeovers with Darius while on our vacation earlier this month. Oh Lord... he's good! The magic he worked was amazing. I went from looking like a frumpy housewife to a hot sexy mama. My mom was looking super hot too. Of course Suzi always looks good... but he gave her make-up tips for her wedding day and she looked fabulous.




Having never wore much make-up... I'm now a convert. I'm wearing it most every day. I'm still not quick at applying it... and I'm not very comfortable deviating from the color pallet Darius picked out for me... but I'm trying hard to keep up the look.



That's the real reason behind Zac and Bryant telling me I'm looking cute, etc. The cuteness is coming from a Lancome bottle!
