The reality of Suzi and Austin's wedding is starting to set in. Today I spoke with my cousin, Holly, about hotels she and other family members can stay at while in Boise. It's going to be so much fun. Zac and I are thinking we might book a room in the same hotel so we can have plenty of time to visit with out of town relatives. Recommended accommodations will be noted on Suzi's wedding invitation, but for anyone who wants a "heads up" about where the majority of people will be staying, leave me a comment and I'll email and/or call you.
Many family members I haven't seen in years. My cousin Holly and I have boys the same age... 2nd cousin who have never met. It's sad. It made me realize that I really need to put more effort into making summer vacation trips to see extended family. I'm thrilled that my aunts, uncles and cousins will be coming this summer for the wedding. I think the last time we were all together was my cousin Heath's wedding/confluence in Massachusetts back in 2000. That was one of the most memorable trips of my life. I can only hope Suzi's wedding turns out to be as much fun.
My mom is coming for 2 weeks in May and we're taking care of final arrangements for Suzi's wedding. The food, flowers and music need to all be finalized. We also need to get the guys fitted for their tuxedo's. This is the big push before the last minute details need to be ironed out.
We're also going to have the fun job of helping Suzi pick out a tiara. Everyone knows Suzi is our family diva... so of course she needs a tiara. We wouldn't have anything else for our family princess. We LOVE LOVE LOVE rhinestones and diamonds. We can never have too much sparkle. Plus, her dress definitely lends itself to being complimented by a flashy tiara.
I'm looking forward to seeing each of you in July!
