So, since we were able to stay home and play in the snow, we took full advantage of it by going to the park to sled down the big hills.
Bryant met his friends, Patrick and Jacob at the park. It's always more fun to play in the snow with friends!
At first Bryant thought it would be cool to run down the hill and slide on his butt. He learned quickly that it's VERY COLD when you do it that way.
Then Bryant decided to try Patrick's swimming pool intertube. Once he got over the fact the intertube had flowers on it, he thought it was pretty cool... but not challenging enough.
Next he decided to use the "surf board" sled that we bought 2 years ago and have never had the chance to try. He thought he was a real cool cat on that sled.
But, being 5 years old, he quickly became tired of that sled too. He eventually talked Jacob into trading sleds with him. On Jacob's sled they decided it was more fun to stand up and ride it down the hill.
And then of course, you knew it would only be a matter of time before they decided that what one could do... two could do better. So they stood on the sled together and slid down the hill. They had so much fun doing that. They must have done it hundreds of times.
And by afternoon, we decided we were cold and tired. We went to lunch and headed home to take a nap. It was a great day and we made lots of new memories. Let's hope for more snow on the weekends!
