THURSDAY
20 minutes after Flying into Boise we were at the Boise Senior Center playing BINGO.
As you may remember (see this post) I'd brought my mom to play BINGO before... but my dad had never experienced the excitement (tongue in cheek). He didn't believe us when we said it was hard and the old people were ruthless.
Doesn't my dad look nervous in the picture below? It's because a lady (and I say that loosely) was swearing up a storm because someone else called "Bingo." Even on The Saprano's they didn't use that many 4 letter words in a row. So much for your stereotyped sweet little grey haired grandma who bakes cookies :)
But the lucky winners on Thursday night were my sister, Suzi, and her husband, Austin. They won over $100!
FRIDAYBryant received 2 love letters from MacKenzie and Delanie in the mail. Oh yeah... he thought he was the Mack Daddy.
He also received a snow globe from the girls in Salt Lake... on the back it was incribed "Bryant wish you were here with us." Honestly, he slept the snow globe last night so he could be close to his girlfriends in spirit. This kid's no dummie. He knows where is bread is buttered...
SATURDAYWe started the day by looking for baby furniture for Suzi's baby. When we were at the furniture store I MADE my mom try a senior citizen lift chair. Now that's she's turning 62 we have to make fun of her (lovingly of course). Plus as a Gerontological Social Worker it is my job to prepare her for her future...LOL...
After shopping we went to Mexica food (my absolute favorite). I was born on a Cinco De Mayo... so I'm sure that has something to do with my love of Mexican food.
Not only did I get to have Tamale's and some great Enchillada's... but I got to have a Shirley Temple. Does anyone remember that drink? A Shirley Temple reminds me of being a little girl. Whenever we would go out to Mexican food my dad would order me a Shirley Temple... I don't think I've had one since I was about 12. Oh... they (I drank 3) were as good as I remembered.
Saturday night we went to a Party In Your PJ's party at our local ceramic studio. We had a blast. The place was packed...
What is better than doing something you love in your pajama's? I'll tell you... it's doing all that and adding in my mom and sister.
Here's what I painted (it's being fired and won't be ready for pick up until Tuesday). Contrary to popular belief (like half the ceramic studio asked me)... it's NOT a dog bowl. It's a salad bowl.
SUNDAY
MONDAY
The weather was so nice that we spent some time playing football at the park.
Here's Zac throwing the ball to my dad. Hopefully I picked a picture where his form is good since he's a football coach!
Even my dad got in on the football game. What a stud...
My mom and dad left yesterday. Our house now seems so quiet and lonely. Especially since Zac has class tonight (he's getting his Master's degree). I never thought I would say this, but hopefully Bryant starts making some noise and bringing our house ALIVE.
PS: Are they ever going to fix the spell check on Blogger. I hate posting knowing that I have a ton of mis-spelled words.

Sounds like you had a really fun weekend!
I know what you mean about Bingo people - I went one time with some friends, and even though I won I am still afraid to go back...LOL
Aren't childhood crushes (and memories) GREAT?!?
I am glad the bryant loved the gifts from the girls. They really miss him and talk about him often. We really need to plan a trip together soon. My mom was just here as well, it is always fun and like you said, once they leave it is so quite. She left on Monday.
***Is that is what is wrong with the spell checker, I thought it was just my computer. Good to know. ***
I'm glad you had such a nice weekend!
I can't wait till the spell check is back on. I feel like such a spelling loser.
Dude I HAVE to go to bingo soon... Larry's mom goes ALLLLL the time...I mean like every day!!!!!!
Looks like you had a great weekend...
Hugs
